McLeod County Parks:

McLeod County has six County Parks totaling 571 acres. Two parks are regional facilities which allow overnight camping. The other four parks are day parks.

McLeod County Parks will be activating online reservations for the two campgrounds, Lake Marion and Piepenburg Park.  The reservation system will allow our customers the convience of logging in from home to reserve campsites, no more waiting in lines.  The reservation system will officially go online Monday, February 27th, 2017 at 10am.  Customers will be able to reserve electric and non-electirc sites.  We will not be offering monthly rates; every campsite will be on a first-come, first served paid reservation.

All users will be required to setup an account.  You will be required to supply your name, address, phone number and email address to create an account.  At the time you comfirm your reservation, you will be required to pay for the reservation in FULL plus a $5.00 administration fee, per site, using a credit card.  Your credit card information will not be kept by our system.  When booking holiday weekends, be advised that you should checkout and pay to guarantee your reservation.


Cancellation/Refunds: If you decide to cancel your reservation at least 14 days in advance, you will receive your payment for the reservation minus the $5.00 administration fee.  Cancellations less than 14 days will not receive a refund.

OPENING OF THE COUNTY PARKS - 2017
The McLeod County Parks will be officially open for the season on Friday, April 28th, 2017
The following parks will be open: Buffalo Creek Park (Glencoe), Swan Lake Park (Silver Lake), William May Park (Winsted), Stahl's Lake Park (Hutchinson), Lake Marion Regional Park (Brownton), and Piepenburg Regional Park (Hutchinson).

McLeod County is home to two Regional Parks:
