Solid Waste Licensing
Welcome to the Hauler Licensing and Facility Permits Help Page!
Licensing and permit requirements are outlined in the McLeod County Solid Waste Ordiannce approved and adopted by the McLeod County Board of Commissioners on December 31st, 1996.
Licensing and permitting fees are established and approved each year by the County Board of Commisioners. These fees are part of the McLeod County Fee Schedule. As part of this fee schedule, penalty fees have been approved for non-compliance, or late submittals, of licensing requirements.
Hauler Licensing: Required for the hauling of MSW, Recycling, and Demolition debris by a waste hauler or contractor acting as a waste hauler anywhere within Mcleod County. This includes waste generated outside McLeod County which is transported through or across County lines.
Hauler Licensing Deadlines: 2018 Licensing Renewal Applications, and all required submittals, are due by the 14th of January, 2018.
2017 Recycling & MSW/Demo debris Reports are due by the 14th of January, 2018.
2017 licenses will be extended to January 15th, 2018 to coincide with the reporting deadlines. This will allow for all documentation of licensing requirements to be submitted prior to license approval for 2018.
If licensing requirements are not met, you will be assessed penalty fees for not complying with section 8 of the Mcleod County Solid Waste Ordinance.
