
The Environmental Services Department is responsible for the administration and education of environmental programs within McLeod County. Program responsibility includes but is not limited to such things as the County Comprehensive Water Plan, County Feedlot Program, County Septic System Program, and the Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act. Mr. Berggren is also the County Ditch Inspector for Districts 2, 3, 4, and 5.

The Legislature provides funds to counties to implement state feedlot regulations and that the amount is primarily based on the number of feedlots in the county.
