Solid Waste Director
The McLeod County Solid Waste Management department is responsible for managing a variety of programs including the Household Hazardous Waste Facility and mobile collections, curbside recycling, drop-box and township shed recycling locations, public education on various solid waste abatement topics, solid waste licensing and permitting, Solid Waste Ordinance coordination and enforcement, landfill surcharges, problem material management (fluorescent bulbs, tires, appliances, electronics, empty pesticide containers, etc), yard waste, and source reduction. The department works with the Solid Waste Advisory Committee to provide recommendations on solid waste issues to the county board for consideration and adoption.

Household Hazardous Waste

Event Collections
Each year, McLeod County Solid Waste Management sponsors event collections for tires, fluorescent bulbs, appliances, HHW Mobile Events, and more.
